EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

We have a lot going on every day as part of our curriculum, our staff teach foreign languages, a variety of physical activities, cooking and lots more.


As an addition to our curriculum we also invite specialist teachers to do extracurricular activities during our afternoon sessions. Please ask at the nursery for the latest schedule of these extra activities. Some of these classes are charged as extra, please ask a member of staff for current schedule and prices.


MONDAY AFTERNOON - Tennis with Little Rackets

Our tennis coaches are masters in creating a fun environment for the children, not only helping their hand-eye co-ordination, but their gross and fine motor skills, The lessons consist of fun games and drills; the children learn to volley and take instructions, developing their listening skills and learn how to work both as a team and as an individual. At Little Rackets it is also about promoting a healthy lifestyle, building confidence and creating a love for the sport.

TUESDAY AFTERNOON - Spanish lessons with Patricia

Our wonderful teacher Patricia offers Spanish lessons on Wednesday afternoons. Activities are carefully selected to reflect children's ages and are presented through fun games.

WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON - Music with Lucy Sparkles

Lucy Sparkles & Friends provides Dulwich Montessori Nursery with music lessons every Monday afternoon. Our music classes employ both Kodaly and Dalcroze principles. They help children develop their musical , physical, emotional and intellectual skill through live guitar, acapella singing games, action songs, rhymes, parachute play, puppets, listening, moving to live and recorded music and by playing along on percussion instruments.

THURSDAY AFTERNOON - COOKING

Our cooking sessions increase links between curriculum initiatives in keeping physically and mentally fit, and include practical cooking and the development of important skills in food handling and preparation.

These lessons are fun and enjoyed by all children and teachers!

Please note that all coaches and teachers who visit our nursery are DBS checked and are assisted by our teaching staff at Dulwich Montessori Nursery so each child is supported in their learning and coaching in the best way possible.
